What's the best way to store OZblu blueberries?
Blueberries love the cold. Keep your punnet in the fridge — ideally below 4°C — and only wash them just before you eat them. That way, they’ll keep their signature OZblu crunch for longer.
Do I need to wash my blueberries before I eat them?
Yes — just like any fresh produce, we recommend giving your blueberries a rinse before eating. But hold off until right before you enjoy them, as washing removes their natural protective coating called the bloom. This delicate layer helps lock in moisture and keep your berries fresher for longer.
What’s the best way to keep blueberries fresh after opening the pack?
Keep them in their original ventilated punnet or transfer them to a breathable container lined with paper towel to absorb any extra moisture. Avoid sealing them completely in airtight containers when fresh — they need a little airflow to stay crisp.
Why do some blueberries look dusty or frosted?
That’s the natural bloom — a soft, powdery coating that acts like nature’s cling film. It helps protect the berries and keep them fresher for longer. It’s not dirt or residue, and it’s perfectly safe to eat.
